Newborn Preparation List
Congrats on your new baby! I can't wait to photograph your sweet new addition(s)! Here are some ways you can prepare for your session!
• Feed baby about 1 1/2-2 hours before session. There will be another opportunity to feed baby as soon as you arrive.
• Try and keep baby awake 2 hours prior to session. I know this can be difficult, but stimulating baby with a bath or by doing ‘naked time’ prior to the session are some tricks that you can use!
• Newborn photography sessions can and most often do take a good bit of time. I quote a time frame of up to but not limited to 1 hour to 2. Because of the length of time that you will be here you may want to bring a snack or something to drink. I have water provided. You’re also welcome to just sit back, relax and watch me work. Wifi is available.
Wardrobe & Client closet info
My studio colors are naturals and nudes, greens, rust, gold, etc. Those same colors are great to wear to your session if you prefer to come dressed and ready. Navy and burgundy also photograph well.
I do provide a client closet for the mamas and the littles. I am currently growing my client closet so please let me know what sizes you and your children are in if you'd prefer to use my options, that way I can confirm I have their sizes! Dads are the only one responsible for their outfit on the day of your session. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions about wardrobe to ensure your portraits come out exactly how you envision.
Baby will be wrapped majority of the session. I do have plenty of wraps to match my color themes. Feel free to bring any special neutral wraps that you prefer to use in your session but this is not required.
These sessions are lifestyle, so more of a natural feel rather than working too hard to pose baby in different positions. There will be lots of family posing, both standing and sitting/lying on the bed. If you choose baby only, I will do a variety of wraps and different setups to fit the natural theme, buckets and flat lays included. I do include detail shots of baby's feet, hands, and facial details.

Studio Address: 963 South Memorial Drive, Unit D, Prattville AL
My studio is currently half renovation mode so please excuse the mess as we update the bathroom and dressing room!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS :
Q: What should we bring with us for our newborn
session?
A: Diapers, wipes, feeding supplies. If you are bottle feeding or nursing, be prepared to feed when you arrive to fill baby's tummy. Pumping, if possible, beforehand can be helpful as to have a ready to feed bottle available, but not required- we are in no rush.
Q: Do we need to bring props?
A: I’ve got tons of stuff at my studio including hats,
headbands, backdrops, baskets, buckets, you
name it. Still, feel free to bring special things that
you’ve bought, or family items you want incorporated.
***I cannot promise to use each item you bring along.***
